hi. i am sorry..i am here again
hehe..i just need to put this input here
and hope other dd listeners can put some inputs here too!!!!
after wondering why his house mixes attract me so much...lol i discovered why...so here is my 2 cents:
well, a lot of minimal techno djs treat a track as a piece of jig saw puzzle..just a part of a music...to create something new..
to create something that is harmonized (is there such a word like that?
..either by using 3-4 turn tables or spinning two or three records at the same time etc..
however, based on my experience in listening to many deep house mixes, there are not many djs who can do that with house tracks due to the nature of the house track: they are more fully created that it is difficult to decide which part of song to mix in and how long etc...
so most of the house djs rather play the whole entire track after track so that the listener can recognize the sound of it..and have a good taste of it there..and nothing more.
and i get bored of it..pretty fast..
and i think anyone can do such mixing....
---------------------------------------------------------
dylan's mixes allow me to have a taste of good tracks..of course...but not only does he do this..his mixing house music is like watching a musical or going on a journey by playing around with many tracks..
he introduces the next record right on good time to create a big waves in his set..
and his way of playing this jig saw puzzle is really good
anyway..hope people can understand what i mean..
way to go, dylan-
and me and tyler as well as scott and many other tribers
(www.tribemagazine.com) are waiting for your new mixes!
peace-
